I was born and raised in the South of Portugal. Being an avid tennis player (I started when I was three), I chased that dream to Spain, and then America to play college tennis, where I got my Bachelor of Science in Biology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Purdue University). I graduated from Life Chiropractic College West May 2018.

I’m a ChiroKid! I have had my spine checked (and adjusted as needed) by my father (he’s also a chiropractor) since birth! I hardly remember having sick days or falling ill as a child. My friends and their parents would notice and comment how unusual that was! I have seen people go through life with chiropractic and I have seen people go through life without it, and it is very clear to me that life is simply better with it.

My largest interest, and passion, is the human nervous system. I like that chiropractic has lots of different ways to help people with their health goals. I enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories – how far they’ve come, where they are at and where they want to go.

I also speak Portuguese and Spanish and look forward to serving that community in the Red Deer area.

I was born and raised in Calgary, obtaining my Bachelor of Science at the University of Calgary and then moved to San Francisco to complete my doctorate at Life Chiropractic College West. After graduating, I knew that the knowledge in my head and the experience in my hands could take me anywhere. So, I moved to Singapore for a year where I had the opportunity to live and work with the people there.

I’m thrilled to be back home now in Alberta, Canada, by my family and the mountains.

I was first introduced to chiropractic as a teenager. Sudden back pain landed me in a chiropractor’s office and after a few adjustments I had no pain, I felt stronger than before, and I knew something significant had shifted in my health. I was impressed, very curious, and began learning more about the philosophy and science of chiropractic.

Later, while in chiropractic college, I learned that there was so much more to healing, beyond physical pain. I experienced a complete shift in my psyche, reconnected to the person I had been pre-trauma, and felt whole, connected. It was a deep-soul kind of healing. I still cannot express how important that shift was for me and for my loved ones. All I know is that I’m eternally grateful and that I have to share that gift with others.

I am most passionate about what I do! It’s hard to not live, breathe, sleep chiropractic when it’s so fun and I get to watch my patients reconnect to hope, joy, clarity, and so much more. I like that it works!

I am so excited to serve the people in and around Red Deer. I am also overjoyed to join the incredible team at Hoffman Chiropractic!

As a Chiropractic Technician, my primary responsibility is attending to new patients. I am the one who assists Dr. Hoffman with the extensive neurologic exams and performing the initial diagnostic testing.
I studied psychology and english at Dalhousie University and have a Diploma in Practical Nursing.

I like everything about my job! I enjoy working as part of a team, the brilliant doctors, and learning something new every day. I enjoy monitoring and tracking patients’ progress. Seeing them improve is amazing. I like getting to know patients and their stories; knowing everyone by their names and on a personal level is awesome. I love helping people.

Working here has made me want to be the best “me” I can be. I eat healthier and exercise more. I have less back and neck pain, less anxiety, less headaches, and more energy and focus!

With my job as a Chiropractic Technician I guide new patients through their first visit as well as help with therapies and treatments. I have my Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, my Nursing Diploma and I am an AFLCA Certified Group Fitness Instructor.

I love my job because I am constantly learning and helping patients through their health journey. Seeing how we can help patients and how they improve makes my day brighter.

Working here has helped me resolve my chronic back pain and my “Mommy Brain.”
